What to do in Portland in September!
Summer may be drawing to a close, but Portland is still bursting with awesome activities all month long!
From pierogies at the Polish festival to Oktoberfests around the city to the perfect early fall hikes in Oregon, your autumn bucket list starts here.
- While it may be too early for fall colors, September is still an ideal time of year to enjoy some exceptional PNW hikes! The Tamanawas Falls Trail is a 3.4 mile hike through Mt. Hood forestry that ends at a stunning 100-foot waterfall. If you’re in the mood to drive a bit further from Portland, the hikes out to Tamolitch Blue Pool and to Sahalie Falls and Koosah Falls are located about 2.5 hours outside of Portland, are a bit quieter than in the summer, and offer some truly gorgeous views at their end!
- If you can’t make it to Germany this year to partake in Oktoberfest celebrations, you’re in luck – we’ve got some exceptional festivities happening here in town! Oaks Park boasts a family-friendly Oktoberfest extravaganza featuring craft vendors, live polka music, and weiner dog races! In the mood for truly authentic German beer? Make your way down to Oktoberfest at Prost on Mississippi and enjoy German drinking songs and food specials in a classic pub!
- The second annual celebration of everything Portland, Portland Staycation is a three day event that invites Portlanders to rent a room in a local downtown hotel and partake in Thorns matches, live music, theatre and dining opportunities, and one-of-a-kind experiences from local retailers and event creators. A perfect opportunity to plan a cozy weekend in town while treating yourself like you’re on vacation!
- Looking to indulge in a fall excursion outside the city? The Fruit Loop just outside Hood River has been a favorite of the Weinmann family’s for years! Miles of scenic country roads will lead you to more than 30 different on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of early autumn flowers. The perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday in September!
- In the mood to demolish delicacies like kielbasa, pierogies, and pączki while enjoying live music, traditional Polish folk dances, and local vendors? Make your way down to Portland’s Polish Festival in North Portland the weekend of September 19th. You can even bring your dancing shoes and join in a polka contest!
- And if refreshing your home’s interior to make it extra cozy for the rainier months ahead is on your September to-do list, give our office a call at 503-819-7989! We’re excited to help you make your home feel warm, cozy, and inviting as we head into the fall.
Why Choose Weinmann Painting?
Detailed Estimate
Our office staff will work to arrange the estimate appointment around your schedule. The estimator will then meet with you to assess your needs and determine the best way to complete your project. You will be given a written estimate that details the specifics of your painting project, so there are no surprises later.
Daily Communication
At Weinmann Painting, we understand the importance of daily communication with our clients. From your first call to our office to the final walk-through on your project, we keep you informed. Our “Daily Doubles” with your Crew Leader keep you apprised of the progress of your project, the upcoming schedule, and any changes that may occur.
Thorough Preparation
The key to a long-lasting paint job lies in the thorough preparation of the surfaces to receive paint. After carefully masking off floors or areas not to be painted, walls and ceilings will have holes patched, small cracks caulked and primed before painting. Trim work will be de-glossed, sanded and vacuumed prior to painting so that the new paint will adhere firmly.
Meticulous Painting
Weinmann Painting uses only high-quality products from reputable companies; we apply two coats of paint as stipulated in the manufacturer's warranty, making sure to protect floors and furniture from overspray and drips. Our skilled craftsman are experts in all types of interior work, from walls and ceilings to stairs, trim work, and cabinets.
Careful Clean-Up
Your Crew Leader will ensure that the project area is left clean at the end of each workday. When the project is complete, you will have a final walk-through with your Crew Leader to make sure that everything has been completed and cleaned up to your satisfaction.
5-Year Guarantee
We offer a 5-Year Guarantee on our work, one of the best in the business!
EPA Lead Paint Certified
Weinmann Painting is an EPA Certified Renovator, and each of our Crew Leaders is licensed to use the EPA-mandated precautions when dealing with lead base paint and dust to ensure the health and safety of your family and property.
